Dear Friends,

Dear Pastors and Friends

Psalm 133:1 says, "Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!"  Over the years, I have seen the Lord do some wonderful things because of churches working together in unity to reproduce a new church.  This month is another example of this wonderful verse of Scripture.  In Cranberry, PA, thirteen churches attended the Get-Acquainted Meetings and many others came prior to the meetings to distribute literature. God blessed in a wonderful way and following the GAM, they had seventy-three on their Grand Opening Sunday with forty-four attending from the community.  We praise the Lord for His hand of blessing on this new work.  We want to thank Pastor Kurt Skelly of Harvest Baptist Church for allowing us to be a part of this new ministry.  Pastor Skelly has been a great blessing to us during this project, and we believe God will use him greatly in the future as he leads Harvest to reproduce even more churches.

Next week we will do it again!!!!!  Please begin praying for the meetings in Vernon, BC.  The meetings start next Sunday, May 6, and go through Wednesday night.  Pastor Kline will be preaching the first night since I cannot arrive until Monday.  Also, please pray for Pastor Richard Aulin and his family.  His sister is seriously ill in a Vancouver hospital with complications from diabetes.  Pastor Aulin is going over there to see her just prior to the meetings to be an encouragement to his family. Pastor Aulin has already had a number of visitors to the services and others have indicated they are going to attend the meetings.  Please pray the Lord will bless this church plant in a great way.

Recently, I preached the graduation at FaithWay Baptist College of Canada.  It was the 20th anniversary of the doctorate they bestowed on me, and I was honored to again preach for the seven graduating this year. FaithWay now has over 300 graduates serving the Lord around the world.  This coming Sunday, I will be honored to preach the graduation of Canadian Baptist Bible College in Winkler, Manitoba. This is a special thrill for me since this church is the first church we helped start when moving to Manitoba in 1987.  We praise the Lord for the ministry of Pastor Sullivant and the Pembina Valley Baptist Church.  Please pray for me as I minister there this special weekend.  The college now has seventy-three students and a graduating class of five.  Please pray for them as they begin a new phase of their personal ministry.

Near the end of the month, Beth and I will be in meetings and travel to Florida.  I will be performing a wedding on the 29th for a young lady who stayed with us during her high school years.  We are honored to be a part of this special day for them. During the trip, we will be speaking in several churches, and we are thankful for the opportunity to be on the road again.  Please pray for us as we travel and promote church planting.

We are so thankful for each of you that have helped us in this ministry. Your faithful prayers mean so much.  You will never know how grateful we are and how encouraged we are when people write and mention they regularly pray for us.  I believe God has honored your prayers in my health situation. Thanks as well for investing financially in our ministry.  We are nearing 130 churches being helped through BCPM, and we could not do it without your prayers and investments.
